Introducing Starizon: An Agentic Workspace for Chrome

Starizon 5.0 puts one AI agent in Chrome's side panel. Install it, bring in your tabs, files, and saved knowledge, and run your first combined task.

Most browser work spans more than a single webpage. You read a pricing page, compare it against several other open tabs, pull numbers into a table, check a saved note from last week, and fill your final choice into a web form. Moving text back and forth between browser tabs and a separate chat window strips out page structure and forces you to rebuild your setup every time you switch tasks.

Starizon is a Chrome extension that lives in your browser side panel so you can work directly with your open pages, tab groups, saved notes, uploaded files, and connected apps. You do not need to memorize slash commands before you begin; describing your goal in plain language lets Starizon combine reading, tab organization, data extraction, and connected tools in one conversation.

1. Install the Extension and Open the Side Panel

Starizon runs on desktop Chrome 120 or later (use Chrome 121 or later if you want to sort and group open tabs by last-visited time).

  1. Open the Starizon listing in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Click the Extensions puzzle icon in the top-right browser toolbar and click Pin next to Starizon.
  3. Click the pinned Starizon icon to open the side panel, or use the keyboard shortcut:
    • Windows and Linux: Alt+Shift+S
    • macOS: Command+Shift+S
  4. Sign in to your Starizon account or connect your own model API key when prompted.

For full setup details and model configuration, see Installation and Models and API Keys.

2. Get Your First Result on an Open Page

Start with a quick question on a single open webpage to see how Starizon reads live content.

  1. Open a software pricing page or product documentation page in Chrome.
  2. Open the Starizon side panel. You can stay in AI Chat or switch to PageChat, which starts with the current page as its default source.
  3. Ask a direct question about the page:

Compare the plan tiers on this pricing page and list the usage limits for each tier in a short table.

Check the table against the open page:

  • Confirm that the plan names and usage limits match what is visible on the page.
  • Notice whether any detail on the webpage is hidden inside a collapsed drawer or an unclicked toggle. Standard page reading captures the visible page content; Section 5 covers when to switch to Agent S6 for interactive controls.

Note on videos and PDFs: Video answers use captions, so YouTube and Bilibili videos need accessible captions or a transcript. PDFs need selectable text rather than scanned page images. See Quick Start for more first-run examples.

3. Organize and Compare Multiple Tabs in One Conversation

Once you have tried a single page, you can organize and compare several open tabs in the same chat. Because AI Chat combines tab management, page reading, and table generation automatically, you can describe the whole task in natural language.

Group Related Tabs

If you have several documentation tabs open across your window, ask AI Chat to group them first:

Group my open API documentation tabs into a tab group named "API Comparison" and list any duplicate tabs before closing them.

Starizon organizes matching tabs into a Chrome tab group and lists any duplicate tabs so you can review and confirm before they are closed.

Compare the Tab Group

You can refer to the tab group by name in your prompt, or select @API Comparison from the @ menu:

Read the pages in my API Comparison tab group and build a table comparing authentication methods and rate limits per minute. Mark any field where a page does not state a limit.

4. Choose Sources with @, Upload Files, and Use the Two Tools Menus

You can name your tabs, tab groups, or bookmark folders directly in plain language. When you want to point to an exact resource (or when two open tabs share the same title, such as two pages both titled Documentation), use the @ menu and the Upload menu.

Select Workspace Sources with @ and Upload Local Files

Typing @ in the chat input lets you choose from four kinds of sources:

  • Open pages
  • Chrome tab groups
  • Knowledge Base (All knowledge or a specific Collection; if you want a particular note inside a collection, select the collection with @ and name the note in your prompt)
  • Spaces

To add local files from your computer (such as CSV, XLSX, PDF, Word, Markdown, HTML, JSON, or code files), use the Upload menu in the chat input.

Know the Difference Between the Two Tools Menus

Starizon has two menus labeled Tools in different places:

  • Top toolbar Tools menu: Opens management panels where you configure resources and review runs (Knowledge Base, Spaces, Connections, Skills & Command, Replay, and Schedule).
  • Chat input Tools menu: Toggles which capabilities the current conversation can use (Web, Skills & Command, Knowledge Base, Apps, and MCP).

Connecting an external account like Google Sheets or Notion in Tools -> Connections authorizes the integration. When you want a conversation to read from or write to that service, enable Apps or MCP in the chat input Tools menu as well. See Modes and Context and Apps and MCP.

5. Choose Between AI Chat, PageChat, and Agent S6

You do not need to switch modes for every step of a task. AI Chat coordinates reading, web search, tab and bookmark management, data extraction, code calculations, saved notes, and connected apps in one place. Switch to Agent S6 when the task also needs to click, type, or paginate inside a live webpage.

ModeBest ForClicks or Types on Webpages?
AI ChatMulti-tab research, web search, organizing tabs and bookmarks, natural-language data extraction and CSV export, using Knowledge Base or Spaces, and calling connected Apps or MCP.No. Manages browser tabs and groups, but does not click buttons or fill forms on a page.
PageChatStarting with the current page or video for focused Q&A and passage highlighting, with access to the same research and data tools as AI Chat.No.
Agent S6Workflows that combine research and project materials with live webpage actions: clicking Next or Load more, toggling on-page filters, opening detail drawers, or filling web forms.Yes. Operates page controls and supports confirmation steps before sensitive actions.

Typing / in the input also surfaces optional shortcuts when you want a focused entry point, such as /extract, /highlight, /research, /agent, and /automation (which runs standalone browser actions without attaching your Knowledge Base, Spaces, uploaded files, or Skills).

6. Save Your Work and Understand Local Storage

Starizon provides four ways to keep sources and outputs for later:

  • Bookmarks: Search your Chrome bookmarks by title, URL, folder, or date, and open matched bookmarks into a tab group to read their page text (Bookmarks and Tabs).
  • Tab Groups: Group live tabs for the task you are working on right now.
  • Knowledge Base: Save highlighted passages, webpages, and durable reference notes into collections you can reuse across topics (Knowledge Base).
  • Spaces: Bundle conversations, saved pages, uploaded spreadsheets, and generated files into one project container so you can continue in a new chat (Spaces).

How local storage works: Your Knowledge Base, Spaces, and chat history stay in your local browser profile; signing in does not sync them to the cloud. When you run an AI task, Starizon sends your prompt and the material needed for that task to the services you chose (such as the model service, search service, or connected apps). Because clearing browser extension data removes local storage, click Download on important generated files to keep a copy outside the browser. See Data and Privacy for details.
