Apps and MCP
Connect an app to read its data or send work to it. Connect a remote MCP server to give Starizon that server’s tools.
AI Chat can combine connected tools with the rest of a task. Choose Agent S6 when the task also needs navigation, clicks or form filling on a website.
Connect an app
- Sign in to Starizon, open the toolbar’s Tools menu and choose Connections → Apps.
- Find the app and select Connect.
- Complete the app’s authorization flow and wait until Starizon shows Connected.
- Before you send the task, turn on Apps in the input’s Tools menu.
Your Connections catalog lists the apps you can use. What each app allows depends on the app and the account you connect.
If you connect more than one account for an app, use Choose an account to set the one you intend. Manage accounts lets you inspect or disconnect each connection. An expired connection may need Authorize again.
Name the destination
Tell Starizon which document, table or folder should receive the work, especially when the app holds several similar items.
Extract the courses from these tabs, remove duplicates and keep those under $100. Add the table to my Course shortlist Google Sheet with a source link for every row.
Read these company pages and the notes in my Meeting prep collection. Create a company brief in my connected Notion workspace and return the page link.
Review the app result and open the link it returns. A draft in chat or a downloaded file leaves the app unchanged. If a write fails partway through, check the destination before you retry.
Add a remote MCP server
MCP lets another service offer tools to an assistant. Start with a server you trust whose tools you want to use.
- Open the toolbar’s Tools menu and choose Connections → Sources → Add custom MCP.
- Enter the remote MCP URL, or use JSON config to import its connection settings.
- Choose the authentication method the server requires. Auto / OAuth walks you through authorization when the server supports it.
- Test the connection and refresh its tools.
- Use Manage tools to pick the tools to allow, then turn on MCP in the input’s Tools menu.
Use a remote Streamable HTTP or SSE endpoint. Local command-line servers (stdio), localhost and private-network endpoints are not supported. Connections with authentication or custom headers require HTTPS.
Enter credentials in the connection settings. Keep API keys and authorization headers out of task prompts.
Review tools and permissions
Read the server’s tool descriptions before you enable them. Tools that change or delete data may stay disabled until you allow them. Three settings decide which tools a task can use: the server connection, each tool’s setting and the conversation’s MCP access.
Some servers list their tools before they check credentials for a real operation. If a tool fails after the connection test passes, check the account’s access to that resource.
Costs and data
Starizon’s app services use credits, and a connected app or MCP provider may charge under its own plan. Your own model API key covers model requests only, so Starizon service charges still apply.
A tool request sends the connected service the information it needs for the action. Choose the intended account and destination before you ask Starizon to write private material. See Data and privacy.
