Modes and materials
Pick a mode from the menu next to the model selector, then attach the materials your request should use.
Choose a mode
| Mode | Use it for |
|---|---|
| AI Chat | Research, writing, tab and bookmark tasks, data processing, saved knowledge and connected tools, alone or combined. |
| PageChat | Start with the current page or video, then use the same research, data and connected tools as AI Chat. |
| Agent S6 | Website tasks that need navigation, clicks, selections or typing, combined with research and your materials. |
Choose Agent S6 before you send a request that operates a website, or select /agent from the command menu. For reading and processing several pages, start in AI Chat.
To extract data, describe the fields in AI Chat or choose /extract from the command menu. See Extract and process data for instructions.
Attach sources with @
Type @ and pick from the available pages, tab groups, Knowledge Base references or Spaces. Picking from the list attaches the exact item. A typed name on its own can match more than one.
Use the Upload menu to add local files or several pages at once. Supported document types include text, Markdown, CSV, PDF, Word and Excel files, HTML, JSON and common code files. The upload controls flag size and format problems. A file without readable text may need a text version first.
In a mode and model that support images, you can attach an image or a page screenshot. Say what Starizon should look for in it.
Pin a reference to keep it in the input after you send. To use the same materials across conversations, save them to a Space. A finished reply’s Reference session action can also attach that task’s saved conversation and available materials to another chat. See History and files.
Enable the capabilities you need
Starizon has two Tools menus. The one in the toolbar opens the management panels, including Knowledge Base, Spaces, Connections, Replay and Schedule. The one in the input decides what the current conversation can use: Web, Skills & Command, Knowledge Base, Apps and MCP.
By default, Web and automatic Skills & Command are on, and Knowledge Base, Apps and MCP are off. Your saved choices may differ. To point a task at specific saved material, select it with @. Turn on Knowledge Base access when you want Starizon to look through your saved material without you selecting each source.
Connecting an app or MCP server is one step, and enabling it for a conversation is another. Connections covers both.
Create a schedule or monitor from chat
In AI Chat, type /schedule or /monitor, pick the command and describe the task. Each command starts its own setup conversation, so you can stay in your current mode. Choosing Create in the Schedule panel puts the same command in the chat input. See Scheduled tasks and Page monitors.
Give the task a clear scope
Name the sources, the condition and the output:
Use these tabs and my Home coffee collection. Compare the grind-size advice, highlight the relevant passages on the pages, and save a short brewing note to that collection.
When freshness matters, say whether Starizon should use saved information or check the current pages. To keep it to the attached sources, say so in the request.
