Data and privacy

Starizon keeps your Knowledge Base, Spaces and conversation history in your local browser profile. When you run an AI request or a connected action, Starizon sends the material that task needs to the services you chose.

Stored in your browser

Your browser stores your Knowledge Base and Space materials, including saved conversations, copies of pages, files and references. It also stores extension settings, saved monitor screenshots and the materials chosen for scheduled tasks. Scheduled tasks explains which materials stay as saved and which are read again when a task runs.

Signing in identifies your Starizon account and what it can access. It does not sync this library to other devices or back up your Spaces to the cloud.

Sent with a task

You useInformation involved
An AI modelYour prompt and the material needed to answer it, such as selected page text, saved excerpts, conversation content, files or images.
Browser automation with screenshotsCaptures the model uses to understand and operate the page. Any private information visible on the page can appear in them.
Web searchSearch queries, sent to Starizon’s search service or to the custom provider you set up.
/researchThe research question, sent to Starizon’s hosted research service to produce a report from public sources.
An app or MCP toolThe input the connected service needs to carry out the action.
NotificationsThe alert content and any attachment you turned on, sent to the delivery channel you chose.

Knowledge Base search runs on your device. To answer your question, Starizon sends your prompt and relevant material to the model service. Choose your sources and model with that in mind.

With a custom model API key, model requests go to the provider you set up. Starizon services you use alongside it, such as built-in search, app actions or email alerts, still go through Starizon.

Control the sources and connections

Use @ to choose the pages, collections or Spaces for a task, and state any limit in your request, such as “use only the attached notes.” The input’s Tools menu controls access to capabilities such as Knowledge Base, Apps and MCP.

Bookmark access is an optional Chrome permission. Review or revoke extension permissions in Chrome’s extension settings. Manage app accounts and MCP tools separately in Connections.

Disconnecting an app stops Starizon from using that connection. Documents it already wrote stay in the app, so manage them and any remaining account permissions in that service.

Keep a copy of important work

Clearing extension data, uninstalling Starizon or switching browser profiles can leave local materials out of reach. Download important output files first.

Spaces and History and files cover keeping materials across conversations and downloading files.

Review before sharing

Before you send private material, check the selected app account, destination and notification channel. Keep API keys and tokens in their settings fields, and redact them from support requests.

For account, website and task-data practices, read the Privacy Policy and Data Policy. The model, app, search and notification providers you choose have their own data-handling terms.
